Raw Vegan Snickers Slice Recipe
Such a quick and easy, good for you treat you can have anytime guilt free, as you know the ingredients are totally nourishing for your body. When you make yourself clean treats that are good for you, there's no need to feel guilty. By making healthy desserts and snacks i can have a treat and dessert every day! Not only does it nourish my body, but my mind too. What healthier than kale? A healthy relationship with food. So go on treat yourself with food that is nourishing for your mind, body and soul.
❤️ For the nougat:
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup rice malt syrup
1 tablespoon coconut flour
Caramel filling:
3/4 cup soaked dates
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1/3 cup filtered water
1/4 cup chopped nuts of choice (peanuts, walnuts, almonds work wonderfully)
Chocolate topping:
2 tbsp cacao
1/2 tbsp coconut flour
3 tbs plant milk (I used soy milk)
1 tbsp sweetener (rice malt and maple syrup taste great)
Directions: For the nougat combine the tahini, syrup and coconut flour together until combined. Press into a slice pan. Place in freezer.
Meanwhile add the dates, peanut butter and water into a food processor until smooth to make the caramel. Layer this on top of the nougat. Sprinkle the 1/4 cup of nuts on top of the caramel. To make the chocolate topping, mix the cacao, coconut flour, sweetener and plant milk together until smooth. Drizzle on top of slice and place in freezer to set. Slice, serve and enjoy!
